Events:
Photographs of various members of the Royal Family in attendance at the following events:
Royal Windsor Horse Show
Literally a Horse Show held each year in May on grounds that are adjacent to Windsor Castle. Attended by the Queen with the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family. This is one of the Queen’s favourite events. The Duke always competes in the carriage and four driving championships, he is one of the Top contenders in the world and in fact we have a picture of the Queen presenting Philip with the winning trophy, a Unique Photograph . Prince Michael can also often be seen competing in this event. A wonderful occasion to attend.
Derby
Held at the Epsom race course.
An event (race meeting) which takes place every year during the month of May. The Queen invariably attends with other members of the Royal Family.
Trooping the Colour (Photographs since 1978)
A Unique ceremonial event to commemorate the Queen’s official Birthday takes place each year around the 12th of June. Culminates each year when the Queen with various members of the Royal family appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
Wimbledon
Held every year during the month of June, Attended most years by various members of the Royal Family.
The Garter Ceremony
Takes place every year on the Monday following the T.T.C. on the Saturday, Another extraordinary and unique ceremonial event. We have many pictures of this event dating back to 1980
.
Royal Ascot (Photographs since 1978)
This event is the race meeting held each year in June usually over four days, beginning the Tuesday following the Monday of the Garter ceremony. Although over the last several years the racing on the Saturday of the Ascot week has also been designated as Royal Ascot. It is attended each day by the Queen (hence Royal Ascot) and various other members of the Royal Family. We hold unique pictures of this event from 1978 to the present day.
Cowes
Held each year during the month of August at Cowes Isle of Wright.
A unique Event, The Major Yachting event of the year held around the coast of Britain attended in the past by the Duke of Edinburgh Princess Anne and Princes Charles, Edward and Andrew and by the Queen at the end of the week, when she used to embark in Britannia (which had lain at anchor off Cowes for the week) for a trip around the coast of Britain and the Isles of Scotland.
The Queen with various members of the Royal Family finally arriving at Aberdeen and thence to Balmoral Castle, in time to attend the Braemar Games.
The Duke of Edinburgh used to go yachting at the Helm of Yeoman XX 11. Prince Charles would go surf sailing accompanied by King Constantine of Spain and believe it or not his personal detective MacLaine. Princes Andrew and Edward accompanied by their girl friends would mess about in dinghies and Princess Anne would attend various dinners.
A Wonderfully English week at the Sea-side.
We have photographs representative of most of the above.
The Braemar Games
Held every year usually during the first week of September in the town of Braemar about 5 miles down the road from Balmoral Castle.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh with other family guests attend.
Remembrance Day
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh with most of the leading members of the Royal Family attend this ceremony at the Cenotaph Memorial in Whitehall just opposite to the entry to Downing Street on the one side and the building of the Ministry of Defence on the other, in the heart of London.
A most moving and solemn ceremony
