What it's at. Where it is. Where it's going. Where it's come from.

These are the Questions rhetorical and specific about Photography and the J.S. Scene.

The J. S. Scene is Photography. Photography is the J. S. Scene

The Scene is set by the 54 Years of unparalleled experience of every possible aspect of Photography of John P.B. Shelley

Of the experience of the Scene, of the Pictures, Books, Magazines, News, Comment, Criticisms, Galleries, Art and Features which are part of the whole scene. Of Serving, Advising, Consulting, Publishing, Owning and managing Galleries, Photographic shops and studios. The unmatched experience of travelling and photographing in over 100 countries, in the Jungles, the Deserts, the great Cities and the Great Plains throughout the World. Photographing Anything, Anywhere, Anytime. This is the photographic scene that is the J.S. Scene.

So. What's it at?

What's it at is learning changing moving. Being alive in photography is to move, to learn, to change but not just move with the Trend not just being Trendy. You have to move ahead with knowledge, with integrity, to be accountable. Many of those who think they have reached the height of today's trendiness have in fact in reality reached the Zenith of their inadequacy. Many of today's Top Trendies in photography are no more than the Elite of yesterday's Inadequate

Where it is?

Is leaving where it is and going forward, exploring new ideas, new ground, and new concepts.

Where it's going?

Forward in to the fresh and vibrant new territory.
J.S. is as old as the last century.
And as young as the New. This is where the J.S.Scene is going.

Where it's come from

Is a bedrock of Experience, of Knowledge, of Principal, of Objectivity, of being Accountable, of being Responsible, of Competiveness, of Winning, of being Elite, of being Superior, of being Judgemental, of being Discriminatory and of immersing oneself in the Visual literature of Photography. And the Visual Literature of photography is exemplified in the J.S. 100 Photographic Books of the 20th Century
